IT'S YOUR DESTINY!!!
Who: Anyone, everyone? Aoba and Declan to start.
What: Destiny
When: After the House of Wolves, before The Taken King.
Where: Earth, The Last City, The Tower and beyond.
Warnings: Could be sorta zombie stuff (Hive), could be xenophilia? I dunno. Gen warnings, yo.
Earth. 700 years into the future, humanity is all but gone, huddled in a massive city in the mountains, surrounded by gargantuan walls and living in the shadow of the slumbering, perhaps dead, body of The Traveler. The massive being of benevolence and light that came to Earth bearing gifts of knowledge that would bring about the longest Golden Age in Terran history, hovering in geostationary orbit over The Last City of men, protecting what is left from The Darkness beyond with the remains of it's Light.
For those on Earth it is a well-known story. With The Traveler's dying breath it created Ghosts, fragments of living Light that in turn resurrected men and women across the galaxy, bringing to bear the Guardians, warriors to fight the Darkness. Earth and all the nearby planets are populated by humans, the Awoken, Exos and a variety of species of ever more distant origins, some less generous than others. The Guardians make their headquarters in a colossal spire at the edge of The Last City. There, in the Tower, the Vanguard and other factions of humanity work together to hold the line and fight the Darkness and every other threat to the known universe. The little understood Guardians rarely venture beyond the Tower, preferring the company of their brothers and sisters in arms, but all look to the Tower as a beacon of hope.
There is danger and adventure to be had; the likelihood of death and the possibility of rebirth. The future is uncertain, but all who walk in the Light know the Darkness is coming, and the wise life to the fullest.

"I don't know if I'll be very good at this, or if I have any right to ask when you'll be leaving soon. I don't want to be a greater emotional burden, but... Aoba, would you allow me the honor of being your man?" the Titan asked, pale eyes shining brightly in the steamy curls framing them both, pouring from the shower.
"We'll figure it out as we go...all the rest. I'll read everything! I'll watch whatever you want me to. I'll learn. I promise I'll do everything not to disappoint you."

There was one more thing to be clear on, though, as Aoba lifted a hand and rested it against the side of Declan’s face, thumb against a cheekbone and the rest of his fingers spread across that marble-like complexion, shifting with those indescribable little waves of glow.
“You don’t need to be anything but yourself,” he answered softly. “That’s how you made me fall for you, after all.”
And hopefully with that it would be okay to cut Declan off from words for at least a little while, because he’d put himself in a place where Aoba really wanted to kiss him—so that was just what he did, even if he did have to go up on his toes a bit for it.

A beat, and he released Aoba, jolting physically, the kiss breaking with a soft gasp as he looked down and realized he'd quite firmly smashed their naked bodies together. He couldn't have been more purple than Aoba was red.
"I, am so sorry," he croaked softly, clearing his throat with a nervous, low laugh, eyes darting side to side as though escape were necessary. The panic faded a second after, brows furrowing as the realization that it was okay started to creep in.
"H-how...how fast is too fast?" he asked, ignoring the prickling at the nape of his neck and back of his scalp, the faint tremor in his hands, the race of his heart. Teeth worried at his bottom lip, toes wriggling a bit against the metal floor.

Aoba certainly was, after all. He was very, very aware of how good it felt to be held so tightly against Declan’s body, every inch of skin alight with sensation, not the least of which was the renewed ached down in his—
The Guardian broke away again, but mercifully, Aoba remained in control. His own bit of fluster was merely confused, unrelated to the burst of emotion in the back of his head that was one supremely frustrated Desire. It was easy for Aoba to consider him muted, here, with his tender concern for Declan being so strong.
“Any time you feel like you need to stop, is,” Aoba decided upon, pressing a kiss to that lower lip that Declan so frequently saw fit to abuse. “It’s all new to me, too.”
But he tugged on the man a little, hoping to coax him into the proper warmth of the water. They’d never figure out what they were doing if they didn’t at least start….
