He had some doubts about the abilities of chalk being able to stop him or anything else, but at least the guy seemed to be opening up.

Though this street didn't seem to be particularly overrun. It was one of the reasons he came this way, hoping for quiet. "I was just looking for a outdoorsy store. I want to find something like a tent. Then we need to figure out a good way to get food."

Since he didn't seem bad, just like some sort of guy who played with magic the same way psychics were fake, he figured he would take responsibility for him. Maraich was an assassin, and better equipped to deal with zombies than the regular person - not that he was beyond human.

He pointed forward. "This is a quiet street, but we're going to run into trouble when we get into the more crowded areas, so stay close to me."

With that he took the lead, continuing the way he was going when he got there.
