"If you want a space upgrade we can acquire one," Ghost replied, hovering next to Ren and addressing him because the construct didn't understand that Aoba was the one that made the choices. In Declan and Ghost's world, artificial intelligences were recognized as human and made their own choices in regards to everything to do with themselves. The idea of someone else treating them as lower functioning or of lesser right in some way wasn't just insulting, it was unlawful. Not that Aoba and Ren were going to be judged for anything by present company, they just weren't accustomed to hearing and acting in such a manner.

"The Exos are human in every way but the strictly biological sense and have very complex computerized parts that function like human brains. Exo scientists are very good at making compatible upgrades for other artificial intelligence. If space is a concern, they can offer you something. Meanwhile, I don't think maps should take up too much room. I can alter the size and quality to conserve space usage."
