It was innocuous enough at the start, Aoba neither missing nor dismissing the Warlock's apparent awareness of Declan's poor self-care, and even getting the start of a thought that perhaps there was an ally here that Aoba could enlist in those particular challenges -- and then Mac changed the topic on him completely.

Seeing as this was in no way a topic Aoba had ever discussed with anyone ever, about anyone's at all, he had no idea what Mac was talking about. Desire had only the mental equivalent of an arched eyebrow going on, so if he had any clue, he wasn't sharing the enlightenment.
