Did offering to jump now mean it was what Declan would have preferred? Maybe they wouldn’t lose anything with the longer trip, but was there something to be gained by shortening it?
Spreading out the mattresses would solve the sleep problem, but so would getting planetside. Aoba rubbed at the side of his neck, unsure of what to pick now that his assumption of how things would go had become a choice of options. But then again, he didn’t want to inconvenience anything….
“Well…I suppose I only asked for the ‘scenic route’ before because I was afraid of the space jumps, but nothing’s been anywhere near as scary as I thought it might be. It would be more efficient to get there quickly, so….”
