He didn't really understand the reference, Christianity - like most religions - being long forgotten in the new age of reason. That, and Guardians didn't get to spend a lot of time poring over history books if they weren't Warlocks. Titans were...simpler. He did understand that Aoba was once again pointing out what to Declan was common decency. Going the extra mile was another standard of most Titans; they didn't understand limits or doing things half-way, and when you were as generally good-hearted as Declan, that principle took on whole knew meaning.

"Was that not alright?" he asked, squinting slowly and tilting his head to the side, silky white hair hanging like a moon-colored veil.

"It just didn't make a lot of sense to me. You're a grown man, you shouldn't be stuck on a couch for more than a few days, and if you're stuck here for long enough to seek work, which you already have, then it seemed like you ought to have a bed. But I don't have a spare room so...I just did the next best thing."
