It was the only distraction he had from the fact that against his better judgment he was about to go into Maki's apartment. He wanted to - of course he did - but he also knew he was a complete shitheel, a real piece of work and might make a fool of hismelf worse than he already had. Making a good impression wasn't a once and only thing. He had to keep doing well or risk ejection from the teen's life.
