Shrugging off the thanks, Nic glanced around, sucking his teeth briefly in a simple sound of irritation. Turning dark eyes back on Worick, the Twilight nodded once, then stuck a finger in his ear and twisted idly. He hadn't exactly paid much attention to what the guy had said, but he got the gist of it, even if he didn't really understand. As far as he got it, they were supposedly on another world entirely. Why, he didn't know. How, he wasn't sure. He expected Worick would have better details on that note, and would rely on the taller man's fount of knowledge for answers. Nic wasn't stupid, by any means, but he wasn't about to assume he was the brains of the operation. He was definitely the brawn, and until Worick pointed him in a direction and let him go, he was off duty.
Snorting quietly, Nic took a sip of his drink and turned his gaze back up onto the bizarre (albeit somewhat cute, he had to admit) creatures shuffling about. Though he had no desire to get anyone else wrapped up in some kind of space alien teleporting weirdo bullshit, he was pretty sure Nina and Alex would have liked a big forest with fat, happy-looking grub...caterpillar...things.

Maybe he should take one home somehow...
