And Nora is, well, Nora. The town is out of sight here at the edges of the woods, but there’s a clear view of the sky ahead of them and her success at berry-foraging is obvious. Pak mustered enough energy to point her in the right directions with his nose, even, and at her side as she sits upon the ground is a heaping pile of large, fat fruits.
Funny thing, though. When she said feed ‘cakes’ to any wandering Pokémon she was in fact thinking of actual Pokémon treats. Instead Ren is making pancakes—and it’s like they’re almost getting a redo of that pancake-making morning that was interrupted by Ren tumbling through an invisible portal.
Minus being safe at home. Plus their little friends Pak and Magnolia. It’s not exactly a fair tradeoff, but…it’s not all bad.
Taillow chirp from the trees overhead, Wingull cry in the distance closer to shore, and Zigzagoon rustle around in the tall grass—and other varieties of Pokémon still, observing with wary curiosity as Nora coaxes Pak up a tree with an armload of berries to try sharing with some of the little bird-types perching there.
